August 21 is National Senior Citizens Day!

In 1988, President Ronald Reagan declared August 21st as National Senior Citizens Day. This observance was established to honor US senior citizens who have made positive contributions in their communities. The day was also created to bring awareness of social, health and economic issues affecting senior citizens.

In honor of NSC month, please join us in our "Help Seniors Clean" challenge!

Throughout the month of August, Mending the Gap would like to collect 200 bottles/boxes of laundry detergent to distribute to low-income seniors that we serve. We are seeking your help to meet this goal. Please contact us if you would like to donate. Or you can make a donation through our website. We greatly appreciate your support!
